The traditional Anjat backpack is used to gather fruits from the Borneo forests. Each bag has a different tribal pattern with images depicted from the Borneo rainforest. It's lightweight, has adjustable straps and is flexible and durable. It makes a perfect beach bag or farmer's market basket.

Borneo is an island divided among three countries Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. It contains one of the oldest rainforests in the world and is one the last remaining natural habitats for the orangutan. The population in Borneo mainly consists of indigenous groups. The weaving of rattan is a cultural tradition in Borneo that has been passed down for centuries. Women typically weave while socializing with their tribe members.
The rattan is both flexible and durable and has many uses in everyday life in Borneo. Rattan is a natural and renewable palm, but this resource, along with the animals in the rainforest, are at risk due to the massive deforestation in Borneo.
A portion of this bag's proceeds will go to protecting the Borneo rainforests.
